'Better Call Saul' Cast News: 'Breaking Bad' Spinoff to Feature Walter White in Season 2

Better Call Saul has only had one season so far, but it is possible that it could already be one of the best TV spin offs of all time.

That is because it is linked to Breaking Bad, which is one of the most successful and well written shows to ever grace the airwaves, with extremely high cable ratings.

Fans of both shows have been wondering whether they will ever see Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, and Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul.

While these characters may make an appearance in Better Call Saul, it will not happen until at least after season two of the show.

Vince Gilligan, the creator of Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, has always been interested in extending the story and having the latter's protagonist return to the show. However, it would depend on the actors' schedules.

"It would be great to see Walter White on Better Call Saul," said Gilligan. "It would be a shame if the show had its run -- hopefully a very long run -- and he never appeared."

Given the fact that Walter White does not meet Saul Goodman until the second season of Breaking Bad, which is years after Better Call Saul, there is no narrative timeline that would allow him to appear on the series now.

However, they could meet briefly, or the actor can be shown in a flash forward scene.

Beside Bob Odenkirk who will be returning as Saul, the only other character from Breaking Bad who will return with a major role is Jonathan Banks who is known for playing Mike Ehrmentraut.
