It is official and all over the Internet, Benedict Cumberbatch and fiancée Sophie Hunter are expecting their first child together. Fans of the 'Sherlock' actor seem fully prepared to welcome a new baby Cumberbatch, and the couple seems thrilled to announce the news.

On January 7^th, a representative for Cumberbatch revealed that the actor was going to become a father with his fiancée. Cumberbatch, who has throngs of followers on the Internet, was supported with messages of happiness and excitement over the baby buzz.

Followers of Cumberbatch on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites have adopted unofficial nicknames for the actor, and are now toying with monikers for the new baby, such as "Cumberbun" and "Cumberbaby."

Still, other fans seemed a bit distressed by the onslaught of news surrounding the baby, saying that the media-hype was just too much. Others worried about the possibility of the baby's arrival occurring before the return of the 'Sherlock' series, which Cumberbatch is heavily involved in.

On that note, 38-year-old Cumberbatch and 36-year-old Hunter revealed their engagement two months ago, and seem genuinely excited about the upcoming arrival of their newest family member. Hunter has been pregnant for a few months now, and while her expected delivery date is not yet known, a source revealed that the couple is planning to tie the knot in the early spring, a few months earlier than previously scheduled.

For those that may not know, Hunter is a British playwright and director, as well as Cumberbatch's theater director partner. She also does work as a singer, actress, and opera director.
