'Beauty and The Beast' Season 4 Rumors: Crew Member Claims Series Returns for 13 More Episodes

One of the shows not announced for renewal last month was the CW show, "Beauty and the Beast." However, that doesn't mean the show is canceled, according to the Canadian trade magazine Playback.

Actors of the show appear to be as left in the dark as fans, but assurance of their return hasn't stopped speculations about upcoming Season 4.

The love story of Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent's (Jay Ryan) will continue and return to filming in Canada next year according to the trade publication, but it seems unclear since Reign was renewed back in January leaving Beauty and the Beast out in the cold.

Fans took to social media to communicate with actors and crew associated with the show, but the actors have remained consistent that they have not been given any additional information about the fate of the show.

Fan specifically asked actor Austin Basis, who portrays J.T. Forbes on the CW show; he said he had no idea if the report was true.

A member of the crew was telling a different story online, Catherine Ashton, confirmed reports stating that the show had been picked up for 13 episodes.

She just said that the network simply hadn't made the official announcement yet.

Beauty and the Beast did just win in the Favorite Network Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show category at the People's Choice awards and because they are in the summer season of the CW lineup, they could get a reprieve.

At this point, Beauty and the Beast is a bubble show, neither renewed nor canceled. While this gives some hope to fans, cast, and crew, it may be premature.

The show does have a loyal fan base it hasn't received the most favorable ratings with only 760,000 viewers at the end of last season during the finale.

Season 3 received a shorter episode order than a typical show, and a premiere date has not been set for the episodes already filmed for Season 3.
