More casting news has been released for Disney's live action 'Beauty and The Beast' adaptation which has Emma Watson's cast as Belle. It would now seem that the 'Harry Potter' actress will be joined with actor Luke Evans as the titular character Gaston, along with Dan Stevens as Beast.

"Evans, a busy actor in the fantasy realm of late, was last seen in New Line's 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies'. He also starred in Universal's 'Dracula Untold' after playing the villain in 'Fast and Furious 6'," writes Variety.

In the original story, Gaston played the narcissistic antagonist that attempted to win Belle's heart and upon losing it to Beast, met his demise in a final duel.

The 1991 animated Disney did great numbers worldwide, and the studio seems to be acting on the company's successful franchises.

"Disney has several reboots of classic tales on the horizon, with 'Cinderella', starring Lily James, opening next Friday. Also in the works are 3-D retellings of 'The Jungle Book' and 'Pete's Dragon'," writes Variety.

While, production for the film is said to begin later this year, there is currently no release date.
