Beats Music Streaming Service News: Apple to Relaunch Beats Music Soon, May Offer Free Music Trial
While Apple may be drawing some publicity for pressurizing Spotify to ditch its free music streaming, Re/code says that the upcoming Beats Music streaming service from Apple may possibly offer some free tunes as a trial.
Tech Radar reports that although the Cupertino-based tech titan will be funding its music streaming service, possibly the relaunch of beats Music, by means of paid subscriptions, the company is also planning to offer a three-month free trial after the relaunch of the music streaming service. However, unlike Spotify, Apple will certainly not offer the free service for an unlimited period.
Re/code further states that perhaps Beats Music is toeing the line of Soundcloud by incorporating a feature that allows users upload their own music. This would be a unique tool that will possibly separate it from the remaining music streaming service pack.
More iTunes
In addition to Beats Music, Apple may also come out with a new version of iTunes Radio that gains from the human DJs, counting the popular BBC jockey Zane Lowe, in addition to four producers from BBC Radio 1. Music Business Worldwide states that improved radios function will possibly equip Beats Music to compete with Pandora in a better manner.
While the free music streaming of Spotify was actually meant for eventually leading users to paid subscriptions, just about a fourth of its users pay for the service they receive. Therefore, Apple would certainly be careful to avoid this fate.
If these latest rumors turn out to be true, soon the company will be credited for pushing the $0.99 DRM-free MP3 file, in addition to putting a stable price on streaming. While the vast reach of Apple may ensure that the company will get some level of success, so far similar ambitions of Tidal have been somewhat muted.
