'Battlefield Hardline' Release Date, New Gameplay Modes: Rescue Mode, Blood Money and Others
'Battlefield Hardline' is set to release into a new generation of gamers, and promises to provide an experience unlike anything they have ever seen before.
The first-person shooter plans to bring four new multiplayer modes, "An all new multiplayer experience which pits you as the cop or the robber for the first time in massive online battles," noted Fuse Joplin.
The different gameplay modes as reported by the news sites are as follows:
Rescue Mode places the players in a hostage rescue mission, with their success determined by the safety and security of said hostages.
Blood Money places players in a bank heist scenario, allowing control of either the cops or thieves.
Hotwire enacts a mission in which cops must stop criminals in stealing high class cars.
Heist, as described by Fuse Joplin, objects the player to "escape with two bags of cash from any location they choose to steal and cops have to stop the heist from taking place."
The game was originally set to be released in October of 2014, but due to discrepancies with the beta test, the developers decided best to release it later. According to Fuse Joplin, the developers wanted to make sure this game was "not just another 'BF4' with a renewed skin over it."
Along with the new gameplay modes, Digital Trends reported that the game features, "zip-lines, high speed car chases, and new mechanics for non-lethal take-downs and interrogation. Moving from war zones to the tighter confines of fighting crime in Miami changes the pace, intensity, and stakes of the shooter series, but there doesn't seem to be any shortage of explosions and headshots."
The trailer below captures the game's hard-boiled cop and robber narrative and action-packed gameplay. This game is set to be released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on March 17, 2015.
