Fans of the game series then speculated on the possible name of the new Battlefield installment. The developer has not yet released any other details about the new game.

Aside from confirming the fact that the a new Battlefield game is being developed, DICE has not announced other information such as the name and new features of the game. This lack of specific details has again triggered the rumor mills. According to some reports, the new installment will be called "Battlefield 5: Apocalypse." Rumors are also circulating online about the details of the game. Some say that it will be based in Japan. What is confirmed so far is that the new game will be returning to a military location.
