'Battlefield 1' Release Date, Beta News: Global Launch Oct. 21 On PC, PS4 And Xbox One
Ahead of its highly anticipated launch, EA confirmed when PS4 owners will be able to download Battlefield 1 to their hard drives.
Battlefield 1 is set for release on October 21, but PS4 owners can preload the game so they can jump straight into the action as soon as it launches. Currently, the game is already available on Xbox One. However, it won't be until October 16 that PS4 owners can finally preload the game. This was confirmed by BF Central, which screen-grabbed a countdown page on the PlayStation dashboard.
Prospective customers are encouraged to download the game as early as possible since the WWI shooter has a 42GB file size.
According to reports, EA Access members have the opportunity to play the game earlier than non-members as the free trial goes live on October 13 for Xbox One and PC. Aside from EA Access members, customers who ordered the Early Enlisters Edition can also play the game three days before the official launch. The Early Enlisters Edition is available on all platforms, including PS4.
On top of the five additional Battle packs that feature bonus in-game items, the Early Enlisters Edition also includes Hell Fighter, Red Baron and Lawrence of Arabia packs, which equally contain themed gears and weapons. It also unlocks the full game without any time limits, unlike the EA access which provides subscribers with ten hours of Battlefield 1 action.
Battlefield 1 gets a global launch on October 21 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
