'Battlefield 1' Launch News & Update: Game’s Player Volume Overruns ‘Battlefield 4’

Electronic Arts is in full swing on "Battlefield 1's" launch and as per reports, the game has expanded its player base.

According to Game Rant, the studios' gross report showed that "Battlefield 1" had twice as many players during its first week. As per the publication, the game topped "Battlefield 4;" thus, it is seen as the studio's success. Moreover, the game has proven its standing at present, although it has not provided exact sales figures.

While "Battlefield 1" has a bigger player base than "Battlefield 4," the latter is still considered successful. As per the report, the game began roughly; however, it is seen as a better game than its predecessor "Battlefield Hardline." The latter reportedly faces some challenges when it was launched and it missed to gain its momentum

As per reports, "Battlefield 1's" performance is immaculate for the time being; nonetheless, its status has to be seen versus other games of the same nature in the gaming realm. A case in point is "Titanfall 2," which was released following the subject. Also, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" and "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" are set to be out this week; thus, it is yet to be seen whether "Battlefield 1" will continue to progress or not.

Electronic Arts' net revenue was $898 million for the quarter while $566 million or 63 percent was from digital channels, Game Spot has learned. As per the publication, the studio lost $38 million for the quarter, though it is better the the $140 million it loss during the same quarter in 2015.

Developed by Electronic Arts DICE, "Battlefield 1" was initially released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows on Oct. 21.
