'Battleborn' News: 2K, Take-Two Interactive Not Giving Up On Online Game, New Content Promised

"Battleborn" may not have been the most popular video game around, but 2K isn't giving up on it. The developers of the game think that there's more opportunity for the game in the long run to catch the attention of players.

According to Game Zone, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said that even though the performance of the game did not reach their expectations, they think that there is still hope for the game and that in time, they will be able to gain more fans through add-ons and in-game currency.

"We're still delivering new content to 'Battleborn'. Audiences love 'Battleborn.' We still have virtual currency coming for 'Battleborn.' We're not counting it out for a minute. We're just telling you where we're at now," Zelnick said according to the website.

According to the financial report of the company, Take-Two was able to spend $28.8 million with most of it going to whip up marketing for the game's launch. Also, according to Game Industry Biz, Zelnick also said that the good thing about the company and their business is that they are still able to "iterate and keep trying."
