At first, fans of comic book based movies were really excited by the rumors about an upcoming 'Justice League' film. Unfortunately, those rumors were put to rest, as no such movie has been announced. However, fans are still looking forward to the 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' film that's set for release in 2016.

Famous directors Zack Snyder and David Goyer are back together to work on this film together. Many can recall that they worked on 'Man of Steel' together and that movie was a tremendous success. It brought in over $660 million worldwide! Not bad for a comic book movie!

Production of the movie has already begun and the estimated date for its release is March 26, 2016. With this news, Snyder is not attached to the 'Justice League' movie because this film apparently leads right into it.

The plot has not been released so far, but from what we can tell, the two superheros will start out as enemies, hence the title. Because they both fight for what is good, they will probably end up fighting on the same side as the movie ends.

Henry Cavill will be playing the role of Superman again and in a surprising twist, Ben Affleck was cast to play Batman. Many fans of Christian Bale are up in arms about the choice, but we shall see what comes of it. We're excited to see what Ben Affleck can bring to the role that so many have played so well.
