"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" opens in theaters March 25. As we wait for the film to be released, the movie director has recently spoken about it.

According to Cosmic Book News, director Zack Snyder commented on the story of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and as well as the state of the superheroes who were said to be in conflict.

"The discovery of the story is that Batman fights Superman. Now move your superhero chess pieces so that can happen. And it can happen in a credible and interesting way," Snyder said. "It's just incredibly satisfying and fun to dig into these two mythological characters and find a through line that allows them to come into conflict in a way that not only is philosophically satisfying, but also physically real."

On his insights for Batman, he said that he still got "it." In this movie, we will be seeing an older batman, but him retiring from a superhero role won't happen in this movie.

"He's not yet tired of his place in the world. He's definitely still tooth-and-nailing it," the director added.

For Superman, he said that he wanted a "big consequence" to Superman's presence on earth. And sometimes it would mean some clashes and misunderstandings with other superheroes.

In other news, according to IGN, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Comics have joined forces to create toys and other merchandises based on the anticipated blockbuster.

Diane Nelson, President of DC Entertainment, said that her company is "thrilled to be partnering with licensees around the world to support the film." This would be a good marketing plan to help promote the upcoming film. Expect LEGO toys, Funko Pop! figures, action figures and many more!

Cosmic Book News has also provided the synopsis for the upcoming movie and it reads:

"Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before."
