'Batman V Superman' Spoilers, Rumors, News: Zod to Appear in Film With Flippers?

With the expansion of the DC cinematic world the upcoming 'Batman V Superman,' there have been a few confirmed names set to reprise their roles from the previous 'Man of Steel' movie.

Among these names are Michael Shannon, the actor who played Zod in 'Man of Steel.' The extent of his involvement in the film is not suspected to be a lot due to the one scene in the trailer that depicted him as deceased, however in a recent interview with Vulture, the actor revealed an interesting detail about his character.

"I was in my costume, and I couldn't use my fingers because in the sequel I have flippers instead of hands," he said. "So I had these wax flippers on my fingers, and I couldn't open the door, and I could hear Zack [Snyder, the director] being like, 'Where's Shannon? Where the f**k is he?' and the whole crew was standing around. I was like, knocking on the door with my flippers, 'Let me out of here!'"

This statement has raised some suspicion regarding what form his character will take in the film. There has been a rumor circulating about Lex Luthor altering Zod's dead body to become the Doomsday that's believed to appear. The "flipper" aspect is still a peculiar aspect to either character though.

Shannon also stated that he hasn't yet seen the trailer, and doesn't know how it has depicted him.

"Well, I haven't seen the trailer either, so I don't know what I am in the trailer," he said. "I could be a toaster, or a Porsche, I don't know."

'Batman V Superman' plans to premiere in theaters on March 25, 2016.
