'Batman v Superman' Spoilers, Rumors & News: Details on the Big Fight Revealed

It's just about a year away from the highly anticipated release of 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', and although we've seen some reveal shots of the characters in costume, we're all still in the dark on the movie's premise.

Yes, we understand that Batman and Superman go at it in the film, but what is the real conflict here? Why would two symbols of justice have to fight each other?

Well it would seem that Devin from Bada** Digest may have an idea for what transpires in the movie. He's claimed to have had an inside look at the script and offered a minimal spoiler to spark some speculation and theories. He first stated what Frank Miller's 'The Dark Knight Returns' battle was all about:

"In Frank Miller's seminal The Dark Knight Returns Batman and Superman duke it out when the president sends Supes, a lackey of the government, in to stop Batman as he cleans up the streets of Gotham and effectively takes over the city. Superman tries to reason with Batman, but Bats going in for the kill, and a fight ensues - one where Kryptonite and an exo-skeleton give Batman an advantage."

He then compares that to the scrap in 'BvS':

"In 'Batman v Superman', Superman is no lackey of the government; if anything many of the world's governments distrust the guy. But it is Superman who goes to Gotham and starts the confrontation... at the behest of Lex Luthor. And unlike The Dark Knight Returns, Superman comes out swinging, pulverizing the Batmobile with one punch. Why would Superman do Lex Luthor's bidding? What is Lex hoping to accomplish? That would be spoiling. But know that when the fight is over, Batman will be able to point to Superman and say, "He started it!"

This is a very interesting take and would kind of blur the lines between justice and doing the right thing. We'll learn more as the release date approaches.

'BvS' drops in theaters on March 25th, 2016.
