'Batman V Superman' Rumors, News: Zack Snyder's Son to Play Robin?
When the first teaser trailer for 'Batman V Superman' was released, many hardcore fans speculated that a shot of a Robin costume stood in the background for one of the scenes.
In the most recent trailer, we now know this to be truth, and the encasement of the graffitied costume seems to reference the 'Death in the Family' storyline where the Jason Todd Robin dies.
This has now drove fans to believe that if we do ever see Robin in the DCCU, it will be in a flashback to how he died. This would still mean the character would have to be casted to appear in some capacity.
Heroic Hollywood seems to believe they know who will play the Boy Wonder in the 'Dawn of Justice' film. They report that none other than director Zack Snyder's son Eli will portray Robin for at least a short duration in the movie.
"Eli Snyder is quite the athlete. He is 6'0" and weighs 174 pounds. As the starting quarterback, Eli put up good stats at Maranatha High Varsity Football. Watching Eli's senior highlight reel, he certainly has the youth, athleticism, and physicality to be Robin in real life!" writes Heroic Hollywood.
This wouldn't be a far-fetched statement, as it has been reported that Eli has played minor roles in a number of his father's movies, such as the young Leonidas in '300' and young Rorschach in 'The Watchmen.'
This is however still speculation, but if Robin is only to appear for a short moment in 'Batman V Superman', it would be probable fans will see Eli in the role.
'Batman V Superman' plans to hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
