'Batman V Superman' News: Superheroes' Living Arrangements Explained
Thanks to the trailer and recent screens, we know 'Batman V Superman' will feature the Batcave, which has raised rumors to this iteration of the character living there.
Thanks to the Empire Magazine feature, we've now received word from production designer Patrick Tatopoulos that this isn't the case. Amongst many details, Tatopoulos spoke on the living arrangements for both Batman and Superman in the film.
He stated that Bruce Wayne's home is set next to an idyllic lakeside and is known as the Glasshouse.
"Its footprint is minima, it is part of nature," the designer says. "You are designing a house that would have been designed by van der Rohe, how ballsy is that?"
He also brought us up to speed on Clark Kent's situation, as he now rooms with Lois Lane in an apartment, indicating that the two are now definitely dating.
In relation to Lex Luthor, Tatopoulos explains that he never get to see his bedroom, which says a lot about the character.
"Everything is a facade. You have no access to what is inside Lex."
He goes on to highlight a bit more on Batman's character and the difference between Gotham and Metropolis.
"Bruce is the Bruce Wayne you know," he says. "He's a playboy, he's got money. He has this strength, but also an artistic sensibility. He's got a past, a family who got him where he is today."
"There are other things happening too. Gotham is a very different city from Metropolis. Metropolis is Toronto on Steroids. Gotham is Detroit."
'Batman V Superman' premieres in theaters on March 25, 2016.
