'Batman v Superman' News, Rumors: Movie Trailer to Release at 'Mad Max: Fury Road' Premiere?
Fans have all been clamoring to see the first trailer for the highly anticipated 'Batman V Superman' film for quite a while now, and if those said fans weren't the lucky few to see the teaser footage at last year's Comic-Con, they're out of luck for now.
Although good news has recently been suggested for the trailer's release. It has been said from a number of sources that the trailer will come attached to 'Mad Max: Fury Road'.
"What I've heard is that Warners isn't sure it wants to release the trailer while Avengers: Age of Ultron is destroying records and driving all social traffic during the end of April and early May. If they wait until the weekend Mad Max opens on May 15th, Avengers will have already been out for two weeks and they can take over the conversation at a time when everyone is ready to talk about Batman and Superman. The bottom line is: we will absolutely have seen the first Batman v Superman trailer by May 15th," writes Collider.
Whenever the studio plans to release the first trailer, it will have to be strategically placed for maximum positive response. Big movie franchises have to think about these things, because as popular as 'Batman V Superman' may be at the time, its talk can get quickly shrouded in a debate about another superhero film.
This movie also has a high responsibility, as it will lead viewers into Zack Snyder's cinematic universe, where we will see many iconic DC heroes for the first time ever.
