'Batman v Superman' News: Composer Hans Zimmer to Provide Score for Upcoming DC Film
It's no news that Zack Snyder's 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' movie will redefine the superhero genre, especially for the DC franchise, but to add to that anticipation, it has been revealed that the epic composer, Hans Zimmer will be providing the score for the film.
Zimmer has done countless scores for various superhero films, specifically for Christopher Nolan's 'Dark Knight' trilogy.
In a recent interview with MTV, the composer states that he has some special ideas for the project. When asked if he would be providing themes for each specific superhero to appear in the film, he answers:
"I'm trying, I'll put it that way. We're in early days. But yes, of course, ideally that's what you want to do."
Zimmer's track record speaks for itself, but he was also questioned on how long he'd be working with Warner Bros.
"Look, the studio is going to hedge its bet, if I ruin this one.... And at the same time you have to remember I come from ten years of doing Batman, so it's really important to me not to betray the work we did with Chris."
To not overstep with Nolan's Batman franchise, Zimmer states that he won't be scoring the Batman parts of the movie, but instead the Superman scenes. Musical artist Junkie XL will be handling the Batman scores.
'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
