‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Release Date: Upcoming Movie Promises To Break Box Office Records Upto $140M

The comic book movie "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is seen to break box office records as it hits cinemas on March 25.

Based on early tracking, the massive interest of audiences around the world to see the movie promises at least $120 million on its debut. Since the film opens on Easter weekend, this projected global gross could even reach as high as $140 million.

Reports say that Warner Bros. is currently setting its sights on an extensive rollout for the movie, simultaneously debuting across 30,000 screens in practically every major foreign territory. Aside from China which is known as the second largest movie market, other top locations selected for the debut were United Kingdom, Russia, Mexico, Japan and Brazil.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be screened in Premium Large, IMAX, 3D and 4DX venues and will serve as a venue for the gathering together of the most iconic characters of DC Comics like Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.

According to film director Zack Snyder, they had already taken out one character from the final cut of the movie despite its lengthy running time of two and a half hours.

The character, Jena Malone, assumed the role of an unnamed character but speculations associate her to the likes of Carrie Kelley or Barbara Gordon. Since she did not make it to the final cut, Malone is expected to appear in the longer cut of the movie that will be released on DVDs before the end of 2016.

Tickets for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" have been made available since Monday.
