'Batman: The Telltale Series' Gameplay News: Job Stauffer Hints What Fans To Expect
Telltale Games unveiled another coop gaming mode that allows boosts the title's crime fighting game experience, the crowd play. Also, Telltale's communications head Job Stauffer gave his insights on the upcoming title.
The studio showed the crowd play demo at a locale near San Diego Comic-Con, Blastr has learned. As per the publication, the demonstration event let the audience select their own options after they complete the game, which also allow them to work hand in hand as they do their mission.
In a statement, as cited by Inverse, Telltale's communications lead Stauffer said that crowd play opened up a door for Telltale Games to be more of a social experience and a live one, giving fans and gamers a chance to get along and play stories together, as opposed to arguing on things the following day after they had both played separately.
Stauffer also mentioned that connection between gamers who were used to play adventure games and the title's unique gaming experience. He said that a lot of themat Telltale who had been raised on adventure games had been just so immersed in this unique story-driven experience, growing up with all the different genres, whether it had been comedy or sci-fi.
With regard Bruce Wayne's character in the title, Stauffer explained that they had all seen Wayne lean in different directions in different stories. He added that it was often tough to talk about it in the press, but they usually referred to their games as more roleplaying experiences even more that they would call them adventure games.
Telltale Games' "Batman: The Telltale Series" is set to be released on Aug. 2.
