'Batman: Arkham Knight' Release Date, News: DLC Includes Batgirl, Batmobiles, Challenge Maps via Season Pass

Batman: Arkham Knight, the upcoming action adventure video game from Rocksteady, is slated to be released on June 23, 2015.

The game is going to be concluding the Dark Knight Trilogy, but apparently, the studio has a strong interest in keeping players involved and attached to the Batman universe. To this end, there will be several more stories and challenges released as a part of the Season Pass.

The studio released the following statement regarding this: "We'll be building more narrative, more missions, more challenges and more characters and vehicles that we want players to experience, even though they didn't fit into the storyline of Batman: Arkham Knight."

The add on contents include "Batgirl: A Matter of Family", which is a prequel story in which players are Batgirl, and "The Season of Infamy", a content which will offer players new story arcs, gameplay features and missions.

Players will also be able to experience "Gotham City Stories", in which gamers will be playing Batman's key allies from before and after the events that took place in Arkham Knight.

Batmobiles will also be made available, allowing players to take the wheel of the most memorable versions of the Batmobile in the game franchise. Players will be able to drive on customized race tracks, which are tailored to themes of specific Batman eras.

There will also be a wide range of character skins available for Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman.

Batman: Arkham Knight will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on June 23, 2015. The game is now open for pre-order.
