'Batman: Arkham Knight' Limited Edition News: Release Deferred, Players to Receive Download Codes First, Items Later

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment recently launched the fourth and final installment of the action-adventure video game developed by Rocksteady Studios, 'Batman: Arkham Knight,' but is appears that everything has not gone smoothly during the release of the special edition of the title.

According to a report in Christian Today, generally, big-name titles offer a special version together with the regular title, and are supplied with merchandise targeting the dedicated fans as well as item collectors of the series. In the case of 'Batman: Arkham Knight,' the Limited Edition title comes with a copy of the game alongside a steelbook case, a comic book, an artbook, a character skin pack, in addition to a statue.

Nevertheless, there are reports that the 'Batman: Arkham Knight' Limited Edition version has been deferred across a number of game retailers. People wanting to acquire the special version of 'Batman: Arkham Knight,' which was launched recently, found that the Limited Edition was already listed as unavailable on retail site Amazon. Consequently, other retailers across the globe also followed suit and stated that the delivery of the bundle will be delayed.

In place of gamers collecting their Limited Edition copies, now retailers will send codes for the digital downloads of the game first, while the items included in the Limited Edition will be shipped out later. Some players posted on the official 'Batman: Arkham Knight' forum that they were informed that the items in the bundle will now be released on July 14.

Likewise, even the Batmobile Edition of the game has been hit, even though the version was cancelled outright. As far as this issue is concerned, developer Rocksteady has already issued a statement on its official forum, stating, "We regret to inform you that we are not able to release the Batmobile Collector's Edition of 'Batman: Arkham Knight' due to unforeseen circumstances that greatly compromised the quality of this extremely limited run of product."

'Batman: Arkham Knight' is already available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
