'Bates Motel' Season 3, Episode 8 Recap: Bradley Returns, New Problems Arise for Norma

Season 3 Episode 8 of Bates Motel aired on Monday night and features more problems for Norma Bates and anyone who comes near her. The latest victim of these calamities is her psychiatrist and lover James, played by Joshua Leonard.

The villain of the town, Bob Paris, portrayed by Kevin Rahm, has captured James, who is innocent. He did this to get leverage, since Norma is holding the flash drive over his head.

After terrorizing James with a nail gun, Bob got him to tell him everything. Meanwhile, Dylan (Max Thieriot) and Caleb (Kenny Johnson) left to do the gun run for Chick (Ryan Hurst).

While they were on the road, Dylan called Emma to explain to her that he would be leaving the town for a few days. However, he did not tell her that he was going to get money to help her, though the two did flirt.

This caused Emma to approach Norman and tell him that they should end their relationship after ended her phone call with Dylan. She explained that she did not realize that he had the kind of problems that he did, and that they were just not meant to be together romantically.

Norman did not fight the break up and ran to the house after she promised that they would stay friends. Though he did not seem to be affected, shortly after the break up, he began to imagine that his stuffed dog, Juno was alive.

At the end of episode 8, Norma confronted James after not hearing back from him. She caught up to him as he was trying to run away from town, and he told her that he was being tortured by men who wanted to know about her and that he told them everything.

Last but not least, he also asked her to never contact him again.
