'Bates Motel' Season 3 Episode 2 Recap, Spoilers: Norman is at it Again, Keeping Secrets from Norma

Monday's episode of Bates Motel suggested that Norman is at it again with him keeping secrets from his mother, Norma, yet again.

The motel isn't running smoothly anymore and every customer is even more valuable. When Norma notices the only tenant, Annika Johnson, turns up missing, she goes to confront her son Norman, who was the last person to be with her.

Norman denied the accusations but Norma ends up finding out from Emma that the two went for a drive the night of Annika's disappearance. Norma was furious and went to Norman once more. He simply stated that she was her designated driver for the night. Norma warned Norman about Annika and how she was crazy.

Norma ended up searching her son's room with his now-announced girlfriend, Emma. The two found a card for the "Arcanum Club," an old school, exclusive hunting club. Sheriff Romero talks to Norma about the hotel and asks to help pay for some of the expenses. She eventually accepts his offer.

Norma went to the club to see if Annika was there, but she wasn't. Romero however found Norma and talked to her about how she shouldn't be seen in a place like this. Norma questioned Romero and he stated that he was simply out doing his police duties.

Norma admitted to Romero that Norman was the last person seen with Annika. Romero said he would look into it.

When she arrived home, Norman was there to talk to her mother's strange behavior over the past two years. Norma felt the same way over him and they had a good talk. They walk to the house together when an exposed women's body in the water is shown as the episode ends.

Bates Motel airs on Mondays at 9/8c on A&E.
