Barcelona Transfer 2015 News, Rumors: Juventus’ Paul Pogba in the Spotlight

Barcelona has long been on the lookout for a midfield replacement for retiring Xavi, and Barca Blaugranes reports that a couple of offers for one target"”Juventus' Paul Pogba"”have been rejected.

Citing sources, the report says that the first offer was €70 million Euros for the star midfielder, one that was immediately rejected. Last Friday, Ariedo Braida, Barca's sporting director, reportedly came back with €78 million, along with a player of Juventus choice in the €12-20 million range.

That offer said to take much more time for Juventus to ponder, but the Italian squad ultimately decided against it. The players that were reportedly offered in that proposed deal included Martin Montoya, Pedro Rodriguez, as well as possibly Gerard Deulofeu.

According to the Barca Blaugranes, though, that would not be the final offer as the third offer being finalized could be €82 million, as well as both Pedro and Montoya. With Juventus , reportedly happy with the €78 million figure, the inclusion of two other players may be the clincher.

A Daily Star report, though, reported a different possibility. Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic, who has been the target of Liverpool and Manchester United, reportedly has a third suitor in Barcelona.

Roma has expressed that it wants £35-40 million for the 25-year-old, and Barcelona are said to be more than willing to pay that price tag for Pjanic. One thing that could keep the Bosnian's move to Spain, though, is Barcelona's transfer embargo, which would prevent them from making any deals for Pjanic until January.

Another name included in Barca's transfer rumor list was Felipe Anderson. Neymar's former teammate has been spectacular in the Serie A leading Lazio to a Champions League qualifying campaign.

Braida was quick to quell the rumors, though, saying, "There is nothing to say about Felipe Anderson. The papers write so many things. In one day, Barca have approached 10 names. At this time, Felipe Anderson is not a player we are following."
