Jake is set to join Jenna and Tamara at the country club while the party being planned on the putting green results to fireworks in "Awkward" season 5 episode 17.

"Awkward" season 5 episode 17 is entitled "Fireworks." According to Spoilers Guide, Jake is set to obtain shifts for Jenna and Tamara at the country club. Then, with regard to Sully's plot of having an after-hours party on the golf course, it is revealed that the character's plan is going to end up with fireworks.

In a promo video for "Awkward" season 5 episode 17, it has been revealed that conflicts arise when Jenna and Tamara work at the country club for the weekend of July 4. It is shown that Jenna is concerned on being around Matty's girlfriend and thinks about what the guy has told the latter about their relationship.

The promo clip also sees Jake inform Tamara that he has to fire her if she will not put effort to her job. The video concludes with a drunken Luke telling Matty that Jenna has feelings with him during the course of their relationship. The former also attempts to hit the latter with his fist.

Previously, it was revealed T was able to secure a job at the Ideabin with Jenna's help; however, things stopped flowing smoothly when everyone in the office gave their attention to T, leaving Jenna jealous. Even Ethan let T pen an article, which she had always desired to do when she started in the company. At the end of the day, the duo's friendship reigned over the jealous feelings at the workplace.
