'Avengers Infinity Wars' Release Date, Cast Rumors: Movies to Film for 9 Months Back to Back
With the highly anticipated film 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' already racking up millions before its timely release in the U.S., one question is what is next for the popular superhero team-up series?
The third entry, 'Avengers: Infinity Wars,' has already been announced for release in the next three years, however in an Esquire interview with actor Chris Evans, the production plans for the movie have now been revealed. Evans states:
"You know, you plan around the Marvel responsibilities. You have to. We start [Captain America: Civil War] in a couple weeks, and then that shoots until August or something like that. August or September. Then I've got some downtime and I can do with it as I please. I don't know if I want to take time off or go pursue another directing job or find a movie to act in or, you know, do whatever I'm creatively inclined to pursue or wait, relax, enjoy my life. And then we start the Infinity War, I think, some time in the third quarter. Fall or winter of 2016. That's going to be like nine months to shoot both movies back to back."
It sounds like the Marvel contracted actors are going to be quite busy for the next coming years, which also only translates into a whole lot more money for them and the studio.
It also sounds very advantageous, but risky to shoot both movies back to back. The movies are planned to be split a year apart, but this does leave a lot of room for leaks and spoilers.
'Avengers: Infinity Wars Part I' is set to release on May 4th, 2018 while the second one releases shortly after on May 3rd, 2019. It will largely focus on the villain Thanos, and we'll more than likely be introduced to a new group of Avengers.
