‘Avengers: Infinity War' Spoilers, Rumors: Daredevil & The Defenders to Appear in Upcoming Film Series?

Marvel has done a great job so far of connecting their film universe across both their feature film and their television properties. This was probably made easier for Marvel because of the fact that Disney owns ABC.

However, fans wonder whether they will be tying in their Netflix shows to the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and apparently the answer to that question is yes.

While it has not yet been quite confirmed, there are rumors that The Defenders will appear in some way in the upcoming installments of the Avengers franchise, Avengers: Infinity War.

Specifically, it has been said that they will appear in Infinity War Part 2. Up to this point, the characters from Marvel movies have appeared in their television shows, for example Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter.

However, the reverse has never happened, in which television characters would have appeared in movies.

Now that Marvel has expanded its cinematic universe into Netflix, and is going deeper into the tales of superheroes, the move to include television debut superheroes in movies, will likely be smart.

Especially because of the fact that Netflix, the online television streaming service, has increased its subscriber base by nearly 5 million in the first quarter of this year, alone.

Daredevil, which premiered on Netflix recently has been a huge hit among fans since its debut, and AKA Jessica Jones will be coming to Netflix later this year.

It is also expected that a Luke Cage series will premiere sometime in 2016, and eventually Iron Fist and The Defenders will follow.

Whether these rumors are true or not, fans will have a long time to confirm as Avengers Infinity War Part 1 will not be coming to theaters until May 4, 2018 and Part 2 will not debut until a year later.
