'Avengers: Age of Ultron' News, Spoilers: New Solo Hawkeye Poster Revealed - Captain America Next?
Last week, Marvel released several solo posters for some of the characters for the upcoming film Avengers: Age of Ultron. On Monday, character Hawkeye got his own solo poster.
The extremely skilled archer and S.H.I.E.L.D agent looks very solemn in his solo poster. He is amidst rubble and destruction as he looks to be drawing his bow, but stopping midway and he contemplates his surroundings.
Hawkeye (Clint Barton), who is played by Jeremy Renner, first appeared in Marvel Comic in Tales of Suspense #57 in 1964 and later joined the Avengers team in 'Avengers' #16 in 1965. He was first portrayed as a reluctant villain in the comics, but when he joined the Avengers he set aside his villainous ways and proved to be a valuable member of the team.
On that note, characters Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Nick Fury and Black Widow got their own poster last week. Fans of the Marvel franchise expect to see Captain America sometime this week as well. Whether there will be posters for newcomers Vision, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and maybe Ultron is still uncertain. If they were to be released, those posters would be sometime later this month.
Avengers: Age of Ultron follows Earth's Mightiest Heroes after a failed attempt to create a peacekeeping program made by Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. Ultron, the villain for the film will be the main threat as The Avengers are to make some unexpected allies in order to save the world.
The first film, The Avengers, shows global success as it earned $207.4 million domestic, coupled with $477.3 million overseas in just 12 days of release. Its total box office gross was a staggering $623 million.
Avengers: Age of Ultron will premiere in theaters on May 1.
