'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Cast News, Spoilers: the Future of The Hulk & Scarlet Witch
With the influx of promo for 'Avengers: Age of Ultron,' a lot of interviews have gone rampant, and with that a lot details are emerging about the upcoming film.
While it was previously announced that due to Universal's rights, a standalone Hulk film would be very difficult to make, recent plans to work the character back into the universe after 'Age of Ultron' has gone public. These would follow after his ending scene in the movie.
"Early drafts of the script had Hulk being rocketed out to space. The final film is more circumspect - Hulk is in a Quinjet very, very high above the Earth, but not quite out of the atmosphere. I had heard that Marvel was considering sending Hulk into Guardians of the Galaxy 2, especially if the first film didn't hit - having a Hulk in the mix could goose the box office on the sequel. But with this knowledge that plan makes even more sense - since they couldn't make a standalone Planet Hulk movie, they would use Guardians 2 to back door it!" writes Bada** Digest.
It is however still up in the air with what happens with the Hulk in Phase 3.
As with Scarlet Witch, it has been revealed that we'll be seeing her again very soon in 'Captain America: Civil War.' She has in fact taken many shots in 'Age of Ultron' that were originally meant for Captain Marvel before she was cut. In an interview with Bada** Digest, Producer Kevin Feige states:
"The way we reveal Scarlet Witch [in costume] at the end of the movie? Those were Captain Marvel plate shots. Joss said, 'We'll cast her later!' And I said, 'Yeah Joss, we'll cast her later.' [Whispers to an invisible associate who isn't Joss] 'We're not putting her in there!'"
"Finally Joss was like 'Let's use those plates to let Scarlet Witch fly into frame, give her a big entrance?' And that makes sense - she's come to their side, and she deserves the cool intro, which will feed into another movie we start shooting in a few weeks."
This confirms her role in 'Civil War,' which starts shooting in a few weeks.
