'Avengers 2: Age of Ultron' Movie Cast News Rumors, Spoilers: Chris Hemsworth Reveals Thor's Key Role in Upcoming Film
In latest 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' news, Chris Hemsworth recently discussed several topics regarding his character Thor's major role in the upcoming Marvel movie.
"I just sort of kept saying to (film director) Joss [Whedon] , 'Okay, what do I bring to the table though?' You know besides kind of Thor being a foot soldier and the muscle and in a bunch of fight scenes. Like what is his knowledge that he can bring to it? And trying to incorporate the fact that he's from another world," said Hemsworth to IGN.
"What's his thousands of years of existence [bringing to this]? What information can I bring? And so he calls upon some of his Asgardian knowledge in this and is able to go into another realm to pull out something that's hugely useful. Some information that certainly benefits...where they're at that point."
Hemsworth also revealed in the candid interview who is his favorite Avenger, other than Thor, in the recent discussion.
The 31-year-old Melbourne, Victoria, Australia native also shared his thoughts on what will ultimately happened to his beloved character in the future.
"I mean I have asked the question, but the truth is no one has the answer yet. We don't know how it's going to end and the biggest concern is this one here, more so than two or three films down the line," said Hemsworth.
"I know that I'm sure they're coming up with ideas and attempting to have some kind of arrangement that five or six years down the line you go, 'Okay, this is where we were heading.' But they don't tell us until the day before usually."
Chris Hemsworth will return to the blockbuster movie series as Thor, the mythological Norse God of Thunder, who will rejoin Marvel's all-star cast of superheroes once again in order to battle Ultron.
In addition, Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Chris Evans (Captain America), and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) are among the numerous actors that are confirmed to reprise their roles when the smash hit returns to the big screen on May 1, 2015.
According to a recent SlashFilm report, Marvel actors Hayley Atwell (Agent Peggy Carter), Anthony Mackie (Falcon) and Idris Elba (Heimdall) are rumored to appear in the upcoming film.
