Audio Adrenaline 3.0 Bassist Says He 'Freaked Out' When Mark Stuart Asked Him to Join New Band

As Audio Adrenaline 3.0 is taking shape to carry on the mantle of the legendary band, new bass player Dave Stovall did an interview where he revealed how the band is getting along and where they are going.

Speaking to JesusFreakHideout, Stovall shared that his first experience with Audio A was during DC Talk's Welcome to the Freak Show Tour. Aside from reveling at TobyMac jumping off of monitors, Will McGinniss head banging the whole night, he knew "I wanted to do that for the rest of my life."

The former Wavorly frontman said original AA singer Mark Stuart took him out to eat one day. At the time he figured it was to chat about writing a song together, but instead, it was a job offer to join the band. "I'm not gonna lie...I freaked out," he shared.

"I've been a fan of Audio Adrenaline's music ever since that concert; as I grew older I became even more of a fan of their ministry. When given the chance to continue this band's legacy and ministry, there was absolutely no hesitation," he shared.

The bass player said the band has eased into their new roles with the confidence of Stuart and McGinniss behind them. The band was selected by those two founding members, which was all the blessing they needed.

"I feel completely honored to carry on the Audio Adrenaline name. You have no idea," he said.

The new lineup features former Stellar Kart frontman Adam Agee, along with Stovall, guitarist Brandon Bagby, whose touring credits include Plumb and Seventh Day Slumber; and drummer Jack Campbell. This year also marks the transition of group co-founder and bassist McGinniss from touring to an increased role with the Hands & Feet Project, an organization he co-founded, where he currently serves as president of the board.
