'Attack On Titan' Season 2 Release Date: Second Season Arriving In Early 2017?; Armin's Death Possible?

While fans were recently disheartened by reports saying that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will not be released anytime soon, the anime adaptation of "Shingeki no Kyojin" is now rumored to be released by early 2017.

Based on reports, "Attack on Titan" is originally slated for a late 2016 release. However, it has been pushed back to early February 2017 due to the hectic schedules of its creators. The production team behind the anime is said to be the same team that is currently working on the anime adaptation of "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress."

Some reports also say that aside from the hectic schedule of the team, another reason for the delay in its production is that the creative team is having a hard time coming up with a good script for season 2. Fans were somewhat disappointed with the first season of the series as its story deviated from its manga source.

Rumored to be the last season of the series, "Attack on Titan" season 2 will reportedly follow a new story arc, which is the "Clash of Titans" arc. Also, some reports claim that the next installment will see the death of one of the series' major characters.

Armin met his demise in the last chapter of the manga, so fans expect that his death will be included in "Attack on Titan" season 2.

Rumors also have it that aside from the death of Armin, the introduction of some new Titans will happen in season 2. There are speculations that Reiner, Berholdt and Ymir will transform into Titans next season.
