'Attack On Titan' Season 2 Release Date News Update: New Season Will Be Launched At Second Half of 2016?
Fans of "Attack on Titan" have waited long enough for the next installment of the series, but some reports suggest that it will not come out anytime soon.
Because the hiatus has already been too long, there are speculations that the creators of the show are now working round the clock just to be able to release the second season during the second half of this year, before fans completely lose their interest in the series.
"Attack on Titan" season 2 has faced delays since last year. Rumors have it that the lack of story arc is the major reason for the delay, considering that "Attack on Titan" is known for being faithful to its manga source, which has to be four story arcs ahead.
While there are speculations that season 2 will veer away from its manga counterpart just so it could finally be released, show creators have maintained that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will stay true to its roots.
Recently, there are reports claiming that the production team of the series is already making progress and that viewers may already expect the next installment of the series to come out sometime in the second half of 2016.
Latest spoilers about the season point out to the death of a major character, as well as the discovery of the Reiss family's Titan-like abilities. Season 2 is also rumored to uncover a conspiracy linking the government to the origins of the Titans.
Now that May is fast-approaching and show creators are still mum about the series' premiere date, the projected return of the series in the second quarter of this year already seems impossible. Fans can only hope to see the launch sometime in the second half of the year.
