For all "Attack on Titan" fans out there, news are out that season 2 is on the works. According to Cross Map, director Tetsuro Araki is now working on the project.

Also according to the site, Levi sacrifices his life to save the Shiganshina Trio as the story focuses on the the 104th Trainees Squad's attempt to eliminate the Titans that have breached their walls. The group that he will be saving is composed of Armin Arlert, Eren Yeager, and Mikasa Ackerman.

The king might also get overthrown due to corruption, leading to a new ruler in the community.

The next season could possibly introduce new types of titans. There would be a titan that looks like an ape while the Colossal Titan and the Armored Titan's real identity will be revealed.

The story will also have some focus on the lives of Ymir and Krista Lenz.

After consuming a human named Marcel, Ymir who has been a titan for around 60 years, turned back into her human form. Little did she know that Marcel happens to be Reiner, Bertolt and Annie's friend.

According to Christina Today, the release date of the second season has not been confirmed yet but is likely to come out within this year.
