'Attack On Titan' Release Date News: US Launch This Week, Koei Tecmo’s Game Leaps From Anime’s Season 1

In line with Omega Force and Koei Tecmo's "Attack on Titan" video game, due for release in Europe and North America this month, it is revealed that the title is set to take over where its anime season 1 counterpart ended.

Koei Tecmo made the announcement of a Western localization at Gamescom 2016, Gamespot reports. Along with the reveal was a game trailer, which showed fans and gamers what to expect from the upcoming title.

The trailer sees two new Titans players are set to encounter in the game. One is an Armored Titan, which stands 50-feet tall and the other is a Beast Titan, which is described as a gigantic ape-like creature that has vast amounts of force. Apparently, fans and gamers did not see the latter in "Attack on Titan" anime's season 1.

Another key point that demonstrated the title's pursuit beyond the first anime season is the Three-Dimensional Maneuver Gear. As per Forbes, the developing team poured their time to develop the prototype of the complicated tech in the manga, since they were aware that it was pivotal to the game.

"Attack on Titan" is Omega Force and Koei Tecmo's forthcoming video game based on Hajime Isayama's manga series of the same name. Also called "Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom" in Europe, the title is set to unveil key elements from the first season of its anime iteration, along with two principal plots concerning the main characters.

Omega Force and Koei Tecmo's "Attack on Titan" game was released on Feb. 18 in Japan and is set to come out on Aug. 26 and Aug. 30 in Europe and North America, respectively.
