'Attack On Titan' Real Escape Game U.S. Release Dates, Locations, Times
Fans are ecstatic as the release dates have finally been announced for the "Attack on Titan" Real Escape Game in the U.S. The announced dates are as follows:
"Sunday, Feb. 1, at San Francisco's AT&T Park (10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.), and Saturday, March 21, at East Los Angeles College's Weingart Stadium (also at 10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.). Tickets are now on sale," reported by CBR.
The game is also projected to be hosted in New York in April, but a confirmed date, time, and place has not been announced.
The game has seen wild popularity in Japan and Singapore, but now fans in the states will have their turn to enjoy the interactive fantasy adventure titled, "Escape From The Walled City."
The game is based on the widely popular anime series, "Attack on Titan" by Hajime Isayama.
"Debuting in 2009, Attack on Titan is a post-apocalyptic fantasy set in a world where remorseless, flesh-eating giants have all but wiped out humanity, whose remnants are forced to live within a country surrounded by three enormous walls," writes CBR.
In the game, players will be cast as Survey Regiment trainees, whose graduation day is interrupted by a Titan ambush. They must all use teamwork and find an escape route.
It's been reported that only 10% of 1,600 players succeeded in "escaping" in the game's first run in Japan.
The game shares a similar concept as the popular "The Walking Dead Escape" hosted at Comic-Con, where participants must avoid "Walkers".
The producers of the project, SCRAP, highlight their excitement and expectations for their newest game on their website:
"Experience the latest edition of SCRAP's interactive storytelling and puzzle-solving games, ¨Escape from the Walled City,¨ on a scale never seen before. Join thousands of other players as you decode clues inside a real stadium! Each REG requires participants to use their best detective skills as they race against the clock. Be warned, though: survival isn't easy, and teamwork will be essential if you hope to survive. Escape or not, the game is going to be killer! This event will be held in stadiums in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. After already hosting over 40,000 players in the US to date, the SCRAP team is excited to present a new project with such a grand scope, keeping them at the forefront of live escape entertainment!"
