‘Attack on Titan’ Live Action Movie News: Trailer for Second Part Released [VIDEO]

Australian film distributor Madman Entertainment released the trailer of the second part of 'Attack on Titan' live action movie online with English subtitles. The anime film is based on "Shingeki no Kyojin," the hugely popular manga series created by Japanese illustrator and writer Isayama.

According to Latin Post, the film titled 'Attack on Titan: End of the World' will continue the battle for survival between the nearly extinct human race against the cannibalistic giants called Titans.

The trailer, which runs for more than a minute, shows Eren, Mikasa, Armin and the remaining trainees of the Survey Corps as they fight the Titans that have attacked their home following a long period of relative peace.

For the uninitiated, 'Attack on Titan' was split into two movies with 'End of the World' as the second film. According to Comic Book, the first movie was released in Japan in August, while the second part will premiere on Sept. 19.

Toho Company, the legendary Japanese production studio best known for films like 'Godzilla' and 'Mothra,' has produced the live-action film for the big screen. Bloody Disgusting reported that Japanese actor Haruma Miura plays the role of Eren Yeager, the boy who holds the key to defeating the Titans, while Kiko Mizuhara portrays Mikasa, Eren's adopted sister.

These two are joined by their best friend Armin, portrayed by Kanata Hongo. Together, the three form the lead in discovering a means to protect the people and kill the Titans that invaded their homes. 'Attack on Titan' fans in the West will be delighted to know that both movies will have a limited theatrical release in the U.S. and Canada.

According to a report in the Press Enterprise, the first part, 'Attack on Titan,' will debut in U.S. theaters on Sept. 30, Oct. 1 and 7. The second part 'End of the World' will be released a few weeks after on Oct. 10 with subsequent screenings on Oct. 22 and 27.
