Atlanta-Based Pop Trio OBB Releases New EP 'Is This A Thing'
Atlanta-based pop trio OBB on Friday released their latest EP, Is This A Thing, on Curb Records. The new EP comes just a day after the group on Thursday teased the album's title track, "Is This A Thing," with its characteristically summery feel.
Speaking about the title track, the band says, "We wrote this song during that awkward stage in a relationship where both people are too afraid to just come out and say what they're feeling. We're left wondering what the other person is thinking - 'is this a thing' or are we just friends?"
Comprised of Zach Oswald on lead vocals, Jacob Oswald on guitar, and Nich Oswald on drums, OBB has garnered an impressive career audience with a radio airplay audience of over 106 million and streams of nearly eight million. Earlier this year, they shared an acoustic version of their single "Mona Lisa, which was featured in Google's Chromebook ad campaign and on YouTube channel Dude Perfect's recent Water Bottle Flip 2 video, which has been viewed almost 70 million times.
Aside from the title track and "Mona Lisa," the new EP also features the song "Sweater" which has received over three million streams to date.
Since their debut in 2011, OBB has steadily built a growing momentum and fan base, eventually resulting in a record deal with Nashville's Curb Records. In the years that have followed, the band has charted on Billboard's Heatseekers chart numerous times and Spotify's Viral 50, as they continue to bring their energetic live show on tours across the country.
Is This A Thing is available for streaming and download everywhere now here.
