Asus Zenfone 2 vs HTC Desire Eye Specs, Features, Price Comparison: Which Smartphone is Better?
With all the new smartphones coming out from the various tech titans that control the handset market share, many consumers are left in the dark and without a clue about which device they should buy.
For tech consumers thinking about buying an Asus Zenfone 2 or and HTC Desire Eye, a comprehensive comparison would serve to help them make a purchase.
Starting with the Asus Zenfone 2, it's pretty clear that the device has some premium specs, but it doesn't really come with at premium price. With it's large display and high-end features, many techies are waiting to get their hands on the device later this month.
On the other hand, the HTC Desire Eye remains as one of the more popular devices out on the market. While the device has an impressively bright screen and some pretty great features too, what it's really known for it's ability to take a great selfie.
Moving into a comparison between the two devices, the designs are evidently different, but also share some similarites.
For one, both the devices come in a plastic shell that have curved edged. While the HTC Desire Eye measures 5.97 x 2.91 x 0.33 inches and weighs 5.43 ounces, the Asus Zenfone 2 measures 6.00 x 3.04 x 0.43 inches and weighs 6 ounces
Stepping into some of the features, HTC Desire Eye has a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and pixel density of 424ppi, while the Zenfone 2 has a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and pixel density count of 403ppi.
The Asus Zenfone 2 phone packs an Intel Atom quad core chip set and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Zen UI. On the other hand the HTC Desire Eye is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad core processor and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense 6 UI.
With regards to storage, the Zenfone 2 can be purchased in 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB formats with the option to increase it via microSD card by up to 64GB. The HTC Desire Eye comes with 16GB worth of internal memory, but can be expanded up yo 128GB
On that note, the cameras on both devices are exactly the same when it comes to the rear shooter, as they both take photos in 13MP, however, the front facing camera of the HTC Desire Eye is 13MP, but the Asus Zenfone 2's is only 5MP.
Last but not least, off contract, the Asus Zenfone 2 will cost $200 when it's actually put out on the market, while the HTC Desire Eye runs at $540.
