New reports are claiming that Asus showcased its latest Intel-powered flagship phone, the Asus Zenfone 2, at the International 2015 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The Taiwanese computer hardware company is coming out with its own contribution to the competitive smartphone market with its Zenfone 2. The handset might seem unspectacular to some, with its plastic case, black buttons and 5.5-inch display with the 1920x1080 resolution. However, Asus tried to pack the inside with some serious impressive specs.

The Zenfone 2 operates with the 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor and comes with an internal RAM of 4GB. It has a front camera of 5mp and a rear camera of 13mp and also has a quick charge feature.

As for the software, there are some features that are absent, such as the split screen or multi-window mode. However, the 4GB RAM might just be enough to tide things over for smartphone users, which makes the Zenfone 2 superb at multitasking.

Asus even advertised the 4GB capability, sending out a tweet on Tuesday that said, "The ZenFone 2 is the worlds first 4gb RAM smartphone."

Other than the 4GB RAM, Asus is also making another version available with 2GB RAM, with both variants supporting expandable storage of up to 64GB and will run the Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Not only that, but Asus also launched the Zenfone Zoom, which boasts a 3x optical zoom that offers up to 12x zoom-in effect, optical image stabilization, Real Tone flash, 10-element lenses and a 13mp rear camera. It also comes with a 5.5-inch 1080 display, runs the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

Asus is calling it the world's thinnest 3x optical smartphone and comes with 128GB of internal storage, according to NDTV.

The Asus Zenfone 2 will be out in the market come March at $199 and will come in Glacier Gray, Osmium Black, Sheer Gold, Ceramic White and Glamour Red. The Zenfone Zoom, on the other hand, will come out sometime during the second quarter of the year in Meteorite Black and Glacier White at $399, according to NDTV.
