‘Assassin’s Creed Unity’ Release Date Today, Storyline Revealed: Developers Hire Historians to Ensure Content Accuracy
'Assassin's Creed' franchise fans clearly expressed their disappointment over last year's 'Black Flag' game release, primarily because the title deviated from its usual pirate-filled storyline.
However, Ubisoft said that they have rectified the mistake, which fans will witness when their newest game offering is released on November 11.
The upcoming game 'Assassin's Creed Unity' game will be set during the French Revolution complete with Parisian scenery, which is the perfect place to get away from antagonists and search for targets, according to Ubisoft.
Additionally, because heavy historical plots is a main component of every 'Assassin's Creed' game, its developers made sure that all historical data integrated in the game was correct.
In a statement released to Fairfax Media by 'Assassin's Creed Unity"' production manager Jeffrey Spicer, he said that they hired historians to be a part of the game-development team in order to make the historical information as accurate as possible.
According to Spicer, the historians helped in creating the characters of the game, especially with regards to the clothing at the time of the revolution.
Spicer also said that the upcoming game will feature several key figures in the history, including Napoleon Bonaparte, Maximilian Robespierre, and Marquis de Sade, who will play an important part in the life of the game's main character, Arno Dorian.
'Assassin's Creed Unity' will be released for different platforms on Tuesday, such as for Windows Edition, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The upcoming game will reportedly be released in two versions in the Xbox Store. There will be a Gold Edition, which will be sold for $89.99 and has a downloadable content, and the regular game edition, which will have a price tag of $59.99 and comes with a special sword.
