'Ash Vs. Evil Dead' News: Bruce Campbell Says There's No Limit On Blood [VIDEO]
The highly anticipated 'Ash vs Evil Dead' series plans to finally premiere this fall, and judging by what we've seen and heard so far, it's certainly going to be a graphic show.
Io9Â conducted an interview with star Bruce Campbell at Comic-Con who briefed them on what to expect for the show. When asked how much blood they were going to be allowed to display on the show, Campbell answered:
"Allowed to do? We're allowed to do as much blood as we want, which is a lot. We're going to do a lot of blood. This is Starz, there are zero content restrictions for this entire show. Words, boobies, carnage, mayhem, we can do anything we want on the show, which is very suitable for Evil Dead."
Campbell has been very adamant about viewers not mistaking this for any paranormal show that's currently on the air. 'Ash vs Evil Dead' will stand out through its mix of horror and comedy, and by the fact that they can make it as big as they want.
"It's about as big of a counterpart to Walking Dead as you could program because Walking Dead is unrelentingly grim and hugely popular," Campbell said in an interview with EW. "We're going to give people a little of the old fashioned slapstick: horror and comedy. The beauty of Starz is there's no content issues. Let's face it: fans want the carnage and the mayhem. So we intend to give them quite the explosion of viscera. Most of it directed at me, unfortunately."
'Ash vs Evil Dead' plans to premiere this Halloween.
