'Arrow' & 'The Flash' Spinoff Cast News: Series Adds Hawkgirl and Rip Hunter

More casting news has been revealed on the still untitled 'Arrow'/'Flash' spin-off show, and evidently, 'Doctor Who' actor Arthur Darvill will be playing Rip Hunter, while Ciara Renee will portray Hawkgirl.

On that note, Deadline provides short descriptions of each character:

"In the new series, [Kendra] Saunders is a young woman who is just beginning to learn that she has been repeatedly reincarnated over the centuries. When provoked, her ancient warrior persona manifests itself, along with wings that grow out of her back, earning her the moniker Hawkgirl."

"[Rip Hunter is] a roguish time traveler who hides the strains of being responsible for history itself behind a facade of charm and wit."

Showrunners have promised three new DC characters, that have not yet appeared on a TV series, will play roles in this new spin-off, and even though these two are speculated to be them, Rip Hunter has appeared on 'Batman: Brave and the Bold'.

Along with these two characters the show has currently locked down Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein, and Caity Lotz, still playing an undisclosed role.

On that note, the new spin-off series has not yet been slated with a premiere date.
