'Arrow' & 'The Flash' Spinoff Cast News: 'Edge of Tomorrow' Actor Joins Upcoming CW Series
Franz Drameh, cast in the recent and popular Edge of Tomorrow film will be playing a role in the upcoming Arrow-Flash spin off series, media outlets are reporting.
Drameh will be playing Jay Jackson, who is a former high school athlete whose professional career was ruined by an injury. Jackson will become linked with the STAR Labs crew in a surprising way, as he makes ends meet as an auto mechanic.
Although the name of the character does not appear in the comics, it is possible that the British actor will be playing someone that viewers do recognize, eventually. There have been theories that he will become the other half of Firestorm, since it is not yet confirmed that Robbie Amell will be cast in the series, although Victor Garber is.
The drama does not have a title as yet, and it is being developed by the executive producers of Arrow and Flash, Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti. Also on the project, will be Marc Guggenheim and Sarah Schechter.
Some of the stars who have been confirmed to have roles in the series include Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Victor Garber as Martin Stein/Firestorm, Ciara Renee as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, and Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter.
Caity Lotz will also be a part of the cast although it is not clear what role she will be playing, as her Arrow character, Sara Lance, died on the show earlier in this season. There has been some speculation that she will be playing White Canary.
The show has been rumored to be titled Legends and will focus on a team of superheroes from the shared universes of the two series, Arrow and Flash
