"Arrow" season 5 will introduce a new vigilante, but he may be quite different from the heroes featured in the series.

According to reports, the new member of Team Arrow is a "cocksure/reckless ex-Marine turned vigilante."

While the nature of the new character has yet to be explained, fans of the series have already started making speculations about this new member. Some fans speculate that the vigilante may be a male or female played by a new cast member, or may be represented by a character who already appeared in one of the previous seasons of the series.

Some reports say that the finale of "The Flash" season 2 may totally change how the flow of events will pave the way for the entry of this new character. With Barry Allen a.k.a. "The Flash" altering the past, there is a huge chance that the new vigilante is a previous member of Team Arrow who now has a new identity, considering how time and history have both been altered.

There are also speculations that if the new vigilante is not an alternate version of Diggle, it could be Laurel Lance. Fans speculate that Lance never became a lawyer so she ended up as a vigilante after Oliver Queen and her sister were presumed to be dead during the Gambit incident. Some even speculate that it may be Richard "Dick" Grayson.

The CW has yet to release official information regarding the identity of the new vigilante.

"Arrow" season 5 is expected to premiere this fall.
