'Arrow' Season 4 News: Audition Transcripts of Upcoming Season Leaked, New Villain Simon Revealed
For quite sometime now, fans of 'Arrow' seems to be certain that Oliver Queen will be seen fighting against his most difficult opponent in the upcoming Season 4 of the superhero television show based on DC Comics. In fact, the show creators dropped the name of Damien Darkh in towards the end of Season 3, when Ra's Al Ghul was heard telling Oliver regarding the existence of his archenemy and his large group.
According to a report in Christian Today, it is apparent that fans will feel a greater presence of Damien Darkh in 'Arrow' Season 4. Very recently, Comicbook.com acquired transcripts of footage of actors who are contending for the role of a villainous character named Simon. The website is of the view that Simon is a placeholder name for Darkh - aimed at keeping his identity a secret.
In the first scene, Simon is shown talking to Oliver, apparently after abducting him. Simon tells Oliver that he is someone should not be annoyed. He also says that he is different from the "other pretenders" like Slade and Malcolm and even Ra's feared him.
In the second scene, Simon is seen casually chating with a frightened-to-death man who pleads the villain to spare his life. However, the villain expresses his loathing towards the man's lack of self-respect and shares how he was himself in such a vulnerable position once - which he overcame by severing all his ties with family and friends.
While neither DC Comics nor The CW has not confirmed anything so far the background as well as the circumstances shown in the two scenes suggests that it is very likely that Simon may be Damien Darkh. Fans will recall that Damien Dark was at the end of Ra's sword and at his mercy when he was in the League, but Ra's failed to kill him. In fact, Ra's was also after him in the Season 3 finale.
Fans are now eager to know whether or not Damien Darkh will be the main villain in 'Arrow' Season 4. In all likelihood they will have to wait till the upcoming San Diego Comic Con in July for further details. It is expected that the upcoming convention will be a super-charged night of heroes and villains, as DC Entertainment has confirmed to attend the event to discuss regarding its small screen universe.
DC Comics will come with updates on the upcoming seasons of 'The Flash,' 'Gotham' and 'Arrow' in addition to thrilling previews on 'Supergirl' and 'Legends of Tomorrow.' The action-packed event will take place on July 11 in Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California.
Meanwhile, 'Arrow' Season 4 will premiere in fall.
