'Arrow' News: Constantine to Possibly Guest Star in Upcoming Season

Those that were heartbroken over the cancellation of the NBC show 'Constantine' may still have a chance to see the character appear on 'Arrow.'

Actor Stephen Amell was pretty adamant about getting the show back on the air and even offered to co-star on an episode or two to help the series out, however it was to no avail.

"There is an opportunity for interconnectivity with any DC television show that exists. Like, as an example, yesterday Constantine was cancelled," Amell said at a Wizard World Philly Convention. "I know, it's brutal... It's a good show, and it should come back. And it may come back, like there are various platforms where it could come back."

It has instead been suggested that actor Matt Ryan could guest star on 'Arrow' as his Constantine character in an IGN interview with showrunner Wendy Mericle. She states:

"Yeah, we really want to do it. It's something we've been talking to DC about and it's just a question of some political things, but also the actor's schedule. We're trying to work it out, but we don't know 100 percent if it's going to happen ... But we're really optimistic and we would love to have him."

It would be quite fitting to have him on this upcoming season than any previous ones, as the show is beginning to deal more into cosmic and magic forces with the introduction of the Damien Darhk villain.

Darhk is described as "a mysterious and sophisticated villain, and an adversary of the late Ra's al Ghul. Now the leader of his own clandestine group, this cunning foe will prove to be one of the Arrow's greatest challenges."

It's yet to be determined how Ryan feels about guest starring, but the opportunity is definitely open as the DC television world continues to expand.
