The Arizona Wildcats will clash with the Oregon Ducks on January 8 at the Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon.

The Wildcats (13-1) will seek extend their current winning streak to two games when they face the Ducks on Thursday night.

Previously, Arizona defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils by a final score of 73-49 on January 4, where Wildcats forward Rondae-Hollis Jefferson had 13 points, 8 rebounds, and a block in the commanding victory.

"We spent a lot of time working on defense," said Jefferson to reporters.

"It felt good to go out and play defense like that."

Beyond that, Wildcats head coach Sean Miller echoed Jefferson's sentiments regarding their recent victory versus the Sun Devils.

"We had a good week of practice this week and I was hoping some of the good things we did would carry over into the first Pac-12 game of the year," said Miller to reporters.

"And I believe that happened."

Meanwhile, the Ducks (11-3) are looking to extend their winning streak to seven games when they host the Wildcats at the Matthew Knight Arena.

Previously, the Ducks crushed the Oregon State Beavers by a final score of 71-59 last Saturday night, where Oregon guard Joseph Young scored 27 points in order to propel his team to the victory.

"Joe did a great job," said Oregon head coach Dana Altman to reporters.

"He was the difference in the game, there's no doubt about it."
