All is not sunny in paradise for pop icons Big Sean and Ariana Grande with the recent news of their breakup after only nine months together.

"Pop music power couple Ariana Grande and Big Sean broke up, according to their reps, who made a statement to Us Weekly on Monday. 'They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends', their reps told Us in a joint statement. 'We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time'," writes Huffington Post.

The musicians weren't shy about showcasing their affection for each other during concerts and performances. They've also collaborated on a number of songs together including, 'Right There,' 'Best Mistake,' and 'Research.'

A couple weeks prior there was news of pop singer Justin Bieber making overly intimate moves on Grande at a concert, sparking some controversy with Sean over social networks, however it isn't believed that this was related.
